Three Hour Sale

A three hour sale, kind of like a three hour tour, but no shipwreck.  On Thursday, December 15 the gift shop is having a three hour sale, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. only!  Everything in the store will be 25% off for those three hours.  Even the sale items will be an additional 25% off.

Along with our new exhibit, Flying Spokes, we are hosting several events at the museum. Today Bike and Barge is coming to the museum. Bike and Barge hosts trips in Holland, France, Belgium and Germany. Their barges look amazing for accommodations. As you bike through Europe, they take care of the details. There are different levels of riding including, just stay on the barge. Meals are included.

History-It affects all of us.

Are you tired of your history?  Is it boring?  Simple?  Common?  Did all your ancestors do is travel a few thousand miles West?  Survive hunger, thirst, violence, illness and emotional hardships?  Did they cross an ocean in the hold of a ship infested with lice and rats?  Did they eat nothing but salted beef and bread so hard you had to soak it for an hour just to gnaw on it?  Were they thrown out of their homes because of their religious or political views?  Or perhaps they were simply kidnapped and dragged away in chains?


At the Lynden Pioneer Museum we are working diligently, day long and through the night to solve the problems of boring history.  No more will you have to relate stories of hardship and strife at parties when your friends are talking about alien abductions, and political conspiracies.  You will not longer have friends walk away after a few minutes of you relating how your ancestors "had it so much harder than us."  No-we are coming up with new ways to prevent boring history and give you a chance to impress your friends, co-workers, neighbors and strangers on the street at every opportunity.


History afflicts all of us.  And boring history afflicts 99 out of every 100 people.  Help us fix this problem in our society.  We can't get rid of history but at least we can make it "not boring."

The bicycle exhibit at the Lynden Pioneer Museum officially opens June 1st.

The museum members Members Only BBQ is set for Thursday, May 26th, 4:30-6:3o p.m.
